Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417)
The Working Holiday (Subclass 417) visa is available for people whose country of origin is considered eligible and who are intending to visit Australia for up to 12 months, with limited work rights.

Working Holiday Visa requirements
In order to submit a valid Working Holiday visa application, you must:
- be 18 to 30 years old at the time of application (up to 35 years old for Canadian, French and Irish citizens)
- hold a passport from an eligible country
- not be accompanied by dependent children
- demonstrate enough support funds, usually AUD5,000
Alternatively, people from some countries that are not considered eligible for the Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417), could be eligible for the Work & Holiday Visa (Subclass 462), with some additional requirements.
